Senior Planner – Major Rail Infrastructure Project

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planner to play a key role in the delivery of a major, high-profile rail infrastructure and civil engineering project in Birmingham.

You will join a growing project team working on a complex, technically challenging programme that will have a lasting impact on the UK’s transport network.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term, outside-IR35 contract and contribute to one of the region’s most significant infrastructure programmes.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circle Develop and maintain detailed programmes using Primavera P6.
  • check_circle Monitor progress, risks, delays and critical-path activities.
  • check_circle Produce programme updates, reports and short-term look-ahead plans.
  • check_circle Coordinate with engineering, delivery, commercial and subcontractor teams.
  • check_circle Support change control, compensation events and recovery planning.

About You

  • check_circle Strong planning experience within rail, civil engineering or major infrastructure.
  • check_circle Advanced Primavera P6 capability.
  • check_circle Good knowledge of construction sequencing and NEC contracts.
  • check_circle Ideally degree-qualified in civil engineering, construction management or a related discipline.
  • check_circle Candidates from an engineering background who have progressed into planning are particularly desirable.
  • check_circle Strong communication, analytical and reporting skills.
