The Opportunity

Our client is a well-established and growing specialist subcontractor operating across drylining and façade packages, delivering some of London’s most recognisable and technically demanding projects.
Due to continued growth and a strong secured pipeline, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Basildon, supporting the delivery of multi-million-pound drylining and façade packages across London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute QS who wants exposure to high-value projects, major contractors and signature developments.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Commercial Director and project delivery teams, the successful candidate will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from award through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circle Commercial management of multi-million-pound drylining and façade contracts
  • check_circle Preparing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
  • check_circle Cost planning, forecasting and reporting
  • check_circle Procurement and commercial management of subcontract packages
  • check_circle Contract administration and management of variations
  • check_circle Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
  • check_circle Supporting project teams to maximise commercial performance
  • check_circle Maintaining effective relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
  • check_circle Contributing to successful project delivery from pre-construction through to completion

About You

  • check_circle Our client is looking for someone who can demonstrate:
  • check_circle Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within drylining, facades, interiors, fit out or specialist subcontracting
  • check_circle Strong commercial awareness and contractual knowledge
  • check_circle Experience managing projects of significant value
  • check_circle Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • check_circle A proactive, organised and delivery-focused approach
  • check_circle Ability to operate both independently and as part of a collaborative team
